Jovian Nightmares - a sourcebook for Cthulhu Rising, Call of Cthulhu Roleplaying in the 23rd Century

Just wanted to post about the book/monograph I have written for Chaosium.

Jovian Nightmares is a sourcebook for Cthulhu Rising - Call of Cthulhu Roleplaying in the 23rd Century. It's currently available as a PDF download from the Chaosium website and I am told it will be available in print format later in the Spring. Big thanks to all those who played 'Escape Velocity' at conventions last year - that adventure is featured.

SimpleQuest becomes OpenQuest

My plans for SQ have altered slightly in the last couple of days so as I've been working on the final draft.

Its been a hard slog getting SQ done and while I still like D100 games I realise that its more for nostalgia sakes, and that I don't really want to support it with as much vigour as I did a year ago. I could go all emo here, lets just say its not the sort of game I want to run or write for on a regular basis.

So the plan is to get SQ out and make it completely OGL. Once again the advent… Continue

Wot I've been doing

Mainly continuing publishing Hearts in Glorantha, issue 2 is out now via lulu

Struggling to get SimpleQuest finished, hit a real lack of enusasium for it but seemed to have regained my mojo for it. Out in March hopefully?

Also committing myself to doing more fanzines, but of the more irregular when there are done type, in Tales from the Firebird for Mythic Russia and Gloranthan Adventures (which is more about me publishing my Gloranthan adventures that I've run at cons over the years).

Of cou… Continue

So I'm back

For those that missed me, a note of explanation

Basically I left RPGsocial because I was cutting down on the number of forums I visit, so I left RPGsocial 'cause most of the people here post elsewhere.

Then I found that I was visiting every day, and that 'Edition Wars' about Glorantha just tipped me over the edge ;)

Don't know about Reading. My impression from PA has always been that he wants a much bigger convention and I don't know if the campus would be big enough. If there will be no UK GenCon in 2010 (or if it gets announced too late) I may go to the Stat…

Good to hear you enjoyed Oddcon. I've been going to less and less cons of late - hope to do more next year. Late August ah - that's a good time. But like you say they need to start now, not in a few months. I assume it'll be at the same Reading camp…

Well, it's been a rubbish year for me for anything but closed-circle gaming, however I did get to Oddcon last weekend and have to say it was v enjoyable and I did some good games - esp given the very ad hoc event organisation. anyone else go? I am…
